Avocado is Nature's Mayonnaise

Society Member Erin Zimmer, a prolific and entertaining writer and SuperFoodie, has been Spreading the Word of Alton Brown over at Serious Eats.

As a form of Acknowledgment for her Continued Dedication to the Advancement of Knowledge and Appreciation of the Lowly Tinned Sardine I would like to present her with this:

Only I can't remember where I saw it and I spent all the money in the Society Strongbox on beer and tins.

So in lieu of this fine piece of Americana, I can only say Thank You, and hope that all Members of the Society will heed the Writings of Ms. Zimmer.

Alton rocks. I now know what sandwich I'm going to be making this weekend!

THAT is a fabulous piece of plastic-canvas art. I love that they're one-eyed.

The knitted (or is it crocheted?) sardine box is adorable. If I had one, I would have to put it front and center, not hide it in the back of a cupboard. ;)

Such an amazing blog!!! it's fantastic! I'me very pleased to be in your blog list even if i have lately a very short production.
but sardine's season in Portugal is coming back, so, i'll be more prolific in the next months. Would you like me to send you some portuguese sardine cans?
