I got these at Pastaworks down on Hawthorne. Apparently, Hamachi beat me to it, but I'ma go ahead, if that's alright?
Firstly, 5 and-a-half dollars is a LOT of money to spend on a can of sardines. Probably my upper limit, considering my current financial situation (anybody wanna buy a real nice house in the middle of nowhere?), but I made a special trip down there, like, 12 blocks, and I'll be damned if I was going to leave without something to show for my efforts.
Jonny already spoiled it, but these are swell. Five perfect little fish, floating in high-quality olive-oil. If Hamachi drained it off into the dog dish, he's frickin nuts. This calls for some top-shelf, salty, garlicky, already pretty oily focaccia to soak up the drippings. Done, and done.
Don't forget a hunk of pepper-jack and a nice tall-can of Bitburger.
These are probably the fish by which all other's should be judged.

I'd have to say that these are nearly perfect. Only four because my back hurts and I'm out of beer.
