Delicius

Scooly Doo's ole lady is a good woman. Didja see those tins. Even if every tin sucks, the packaging on some of those tins, and the reviews we will receive... Stoked.

Stonefinger smuggled me back a few tins from Italy, Europe. Actually, a jar of killer anchovies, two tins I've already had, and one Tin I'd never seen before.

Now this story I'm about to unfold took place back about twenty minutes ago, just about the time of our conflict with Sad'm and the Eye-rackies. I only mention it 'cause sometimes there's a tin, I won't say a hee-ro, 'cause what's a hee-ro? but sometimes there's a tin. And I'm talkin' about the Delicius here, sometimes there's a tin who, wal, it's the tin for it's time'n place, it fits right in there, and that's the tin. ...and even if it's a lazy tin, and the Delicius was certainly that, quite possibly the laziest in Alameda County. ...which would place the tin high in the runnin' for laziest worldwide, but sometimes there's a tin. . . sometimes there's a tin. Wal, I lost m'train of thought here. But, aw hell, I done innerduced the tin enough.
Delicius 1
Straight from Italy. The price says E 1.95. Delicius Filetti di Sardina all' olio di oliva. These could have come from Portugal, Albania or Morocco. According to the "code" they came from Morocco.
Delicius 2
Three big Filets (no skin or bones). Really nicely moist. Not too dense. Very tuna. You can taste the good oil. GG says no mild Irish chedder, no hot sauce, a little olive on the cracker with the fish. She's right again. Super tasty. Four out Five Tins.

I've always seen Moylan's around, and due to the fact that Guinness is Holy Water in my world, I never tried it. Yesterday I read that their stout is well received, and learned they were locals. So today I picked up a Moylander Award Winning Double IPA.
If One is Good, Then Two is Better!” Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it’s academic. This brew has twice the things you’re looking for, and it’s big enough to share with the one you love. And isn’t that what it's all about?Alcohol 8.5% by Volume.
This is good stuff. This weekend I'll be attending the Fort Bragg Whale Festival Beer Fest. By the time I get back Double and Triple IPAs will have jumped the shark. Just in time to try the rest of the Moyland's Ales and Stouts.

The Tin Abides.

Also, Moylan's has been around for a dog's age.

I was drinking their killer ESB on nitro at the opening of the Market Street Lucky 13 way back in '94.

One of my alltime favorites.
